Plain Collodion  (5% w/v Nitrocellulose)

Small Batch for Freshness 

Many suppliers supply Collodion U.S.P. with a concentration of nitrocellulose that varies from 4 to 10%.  This means your collodion formula may contain double the amount of nitrocellulose needed to work properly.  This changes the drying, surface characteristics, and the aging of your collodion.  This is one more variable in a process that has so many.

Our 5% Collodion is made in small batches and has 5% nitrocellulose by weight.  This is best for the POP process and people who like a thicker salted collodion for wet plate.

    this is pure 5% collodion. I can always depend on the chemistry I get from UV Photographics. Well-packaged, order promptly filled. It makes a big difference that Brian is a wet plate photographer, too. All good.
