Description

UVP X Salted Collodion

Fast. Stable. Easy to Develop. Built for Portraits.

Available ready to shoot or as a two-part kit, UVP X is trusted by many of today's professional wet plate photographers for its consistent performance and beautiful tonal rendering.

Developed for speed, stability, and ease of use, UVP X is a modern cadmium-based collodion designed for producing tintypes, ambrotypes, and glass negatives. Its carefully balanced formula delivers excellent sensitivity, broad tonal range, and reliable results throughout its working life.

Stored in a cool, dark place, UVP X maintains excellent working characteristics for 6–12 months, allowing photographers to work with confidence from the first plate to the last.

The slightly elevated bromide content produces rich tonal separation that is especially well suited for portraiture, while the image develops with excellent visibility, making it easier to judge development and consistently produce beautiful plates.

  • Excellent stability with a 6–12 month working life

Consistent and reliable. Perfect for 11x14 Ambrotypes on glass. I’ve been using it for over 4 months.

I’m a true believer in this stuff! I’ve started buying the two part mix just so I can be a little more aware of shelf life, but always keep a bottle of the premixed on hand too!
