Description

Our Wet Plate Collodion Starter Kits have all the chemistry you will need to start making plates.  Our chemistry is consistent and easy to use.  We offer choices of collodion, varnish and developer.  Our recommendation is:  UVP-4 Collodion for ease of development and stability, Iron Potassium Nitrate Developer, and Light Shellac Varnish

The kit contains:

9% Silver Bath - pH adjusted & iodized - (500mL Small kit, 1000mL Large Kit)

Premixed Collodion of your choice - (225mL Small kit, 450mL Large Kit) 

Developer your choice- (500mL Small kit, 1000mL Large Kit)

Rapid Fixer - (500mL Small kit, 1000mL Large Kit)

Varnish of your choice-  (240mL Small kit, 480mL Large Kit)

3 - Erlenmeyer Flasks with stoppers (1 for pouring collodion, 2 for varnishing)

1 - Small Beaker - For developer

    This was my second starter kit, and it’s worth every nickel. It’s perfect for 4x5 and 5x7. The bonus: you can re-use the bottles. Brian does the best job, and if I ever have a question about anything - from collodion to plates to you name it - he’s lightning fast getting back to me. Stellar kit & chems, stellar service. ??
